About this site

This site helps shrink photos when you need to fit a form, an email or a messenger limit. The main difference from many similar services: your file is never sent to a server. Compression is done by the browser itself, using encoders compiled to WebAssembly.

Photos are saved as JPEG with mozjpeg, a proven open-source encoder. On pages with a size limit, such as 100KB or 1MB, the tool tries different qualities until it finds the highest one that still fits. Videos are compressed with the encoder built into the browser.

The service is free and works without registration. If you found a bug or want a new size or format, write to us on the Contact page.
